Description: Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts has taken the initiative to help solve social problems in Marijampolė County. An aging society, increasing numbers of children with developmental disabilities, problems in integrating and ensuring quality employment for people with disabilities, youth unemployment and access to assistance for individuals and their families with serious illnesses or disabilities are key social issues for Marijampolė County which newly created social businesses will solve with the help of the project.

Two activities will be implemented during the project implementation period: Incentives for Social Business Start-ups and Promotion of Social Business Creation, which will include:

- informative events for promotion of social business in 5 municipalities of Marijampolė county (Marijampolė, Šakiai, Kazlų Rūda, Vilkaviškis, Kalvarija)

- promotion of social business (via television, radio, press, online news portals, social networks)

- cooperation with municipalities of Marijampolė county in identifying specific social problems and areas of potential social business

- training on social business creation (basics of law, bookkeeping, starting or developing a social business)

- training in Marijampolė district, Šakiai district, Kazlų Rūda district, Vilkaviškis district, Kalvarija district municipalities on Social Business Promotion (Strategic Sessions for Sustainable Social Business)

- individual consultations on social business creation, selection of social business ideas

- provision of equipment and facilities for the beneficiaries (social businesses - enterprises)

- consulting on social business marketing.

Project activities will be implemented together with partners, which have many years of experience in solving social problems and implementing social entrepreneurship projects.
